The EU Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West wishes you a happy Europe Day!

Held on May 9th every single year, Europe Day celebrates peace and unity across the continent. The date May 9th was chosen because it was the day when French foreign minister Robert Schuman made the so-called Schuman Declaration. This speech in 1950 set out the idea of a new political cooperation in Europe among its different countries, just five years after the end of the Second World War!
