The European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada – West (EUCCC) is supporting Global Affairs Canada (GAC), Provincial Governments of Alberta and Manitoba as well as Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) in organizing EU-Canada CETA Conferences which will take place at following dates:
Saskatoon January 30, 2017
Winnipeg January 31, 2017
Calgary February 1, 2017
Edmonton February 2, 2017
The objective of these conferences, with historic EU-Canada Comprehensive and Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) finally been signed on October 30, 2016 in Brussels and coming into force in 2017, is to provide practical advice on how Canadian companies can capitalize on the opportunities arising from CETA. Seminar presentations will identify new opportunities for Canadian companies in the EU and provide information on the services offered to Canadian companies that can help them to enter and succeed in the EU market. From tariff elimination for goods to improved access for trade in services and government procurement, as well as addressing other trade barriers, CETA can push Canadian international expansion to new heights.
A panel of policy makers including provincial and federal government representatives from Canada and government representatives from EU member states, as well as number of top executives representing prominent businesses in Canada will provide testimonials, present success stories and discuss the most important advantages and challenges for SME’s and general impact of the gradual CETA ratification process on current trade and investment exchanges between Canada and the EU member states.
